Tangent Tuesday - I MISS YOU!

OMG Y’ALL! My kids went back to school today for the first time since December 18th! Praise tha LORD! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s hope it’s not another train.

I had the BEST day. Tuesday is usually the blah-est day of the week. It’s Thursday’s ugly cousin. But today has been a glorious day! I worked & got things DONE. And I peed without being interrupted. It’s been so long since I’ve had a full workday to myself that I forgot what it’s like to get through an entire conference call without having to mute myself so I could yell, “I’ll help you when I’m done with this call! No! I can’t make you pizza rolls right now! Because I’M WORKING! I’M ON A CALL!!!”

And it wasn’t just a great day for me. The kids were excited, too. And rightfully so! They saw friends, they interacted with people other than me. This was a day of normalcy. We all needed this so much. The past year has been BEYOND stressful. As a result, my hair is grayer, my face is wrinklier… my anxiety, however, is having a stellar year.
